High school
Academy — the year-round membership
1
Your player gets their own login
High schoolers run their own portal. Their offer carries a 6-character setup code — they enter their
name and that code on the player portal and pick their own password. You keep your parent account for billing
and for seeing how it is going.
2
They book their own sessions
Credits land on their account and they book from their phone. You can book for them from your side too, and
you will see everything either way.
3
Billing runs monthly
You pay the full price at checkout, then the same amount on that same date every month. No part-months and nothing prorated. Already a member? You keep the day you are already on.
Middle school
Two ways in — and one of them closes
The Academy closes to middle schoolers on November 15, 2026
A middle school hitter can join the Academy up to that date. After it, the way in is Academy Prep.
If your player is not in yet, the portal shows a countdown on their home screen and on your billing page.
1
Pick the program
Academy is individualized instruction, year-round, alongside older hitters — for a hitter ready for
that. Academy Prep is the foundation: one hour a week, a group of six, drill work and stations. Prep is the
more cost-effective way in and where most middle schoolers start.
2
It is one or the other
Your player is in Prep or in the Academy, not both. An Academy member aged 13 and under can still take a
Friday Prep session — but by joining the waitlist. The Hitting MD team picks from it on the day, and a
credit is only used if they get in.
3
Your billing date follows the program
Academy Prep renews on the 1st. Academy renews on the 15th. You do not choose it —
it follows whichever your player is in.
4
Who books
Most middle school families book from the parent side. If your player has a phone and you want them booking
their own, ask for a setup code and they can have their own login.
Elementary school
Academy Prep — and you run it
1
You do not need a player login
At this age the parent account does everything — booking, credits, messages, the lot. There is no need to
set your child up with their own password. If you want one later, just ask.
2
What Academy Prep is
One hour a week, a group of six, Fridays. Drill work and stations — the foundation before individualized
instruction. Ages 8–13.
3
Booking
You book from My Players on your own portal. Friday Prep sessions are marked in gold on the calendar so
they are easy to pick out.
4
Paying for it
Academy Prep is not a subscription — it is bought a ten-week block at a time, so there is no renewal day and nothing to cancel. Marcus takes the payment directly by Venmo or card; it does not go through the portal. Anything past the first block is due in full by November 15.
Everyone starts with step 1 — iPhone and Android
Add the portal to your Home Screen before you do anything else. That icon is how you'll use it all season,
and it's what keeps notifications working — which is how I'll tell you when credits are loaded and when
scheduling opens. Set it up in a browser tab instead and you'll be hunting for a bookmark every time.
On iPhone this isn't optional. Notifications don't work at all until the portal is
on your Home Screen and opened from the icon.
Parents create the account — players get theirs underneath it
1
Open Parent Portal, then tap Create one
Tap Parent Portal in the menu at the top — not Player Portal, even if your athlete
will be the one using it. Then tap Create one under the sign-in box. Players under 18 need a parent
account above theirs.
2
Enter your details
Your name, email, and a password — you'll type the password twice to confirm it.
Use the email you actually check — it's how your account is matched to your athlete's.
3
Say yes to notifications
A prompt appears the first time you log in. Tap Allow. If you tap no, it won't ask again and
you'll need to turn it on in your phone's settings.
Their name and date of birth — phone and email are optional. Their account is created
under yours. Repeat for each athlete — siblings all sit under the one login.
3
Sign the waiver & agreement
As soon as an athlete is on your account, the portal asks you to sign two documents — the
Waiver and Release and the Membership Agreement. Read them, tick the box, and type your full name.
That typed name is your signature. One signature per athlete, so if you have two kids you'll be asked twice.
You can't book until it's done, and it only happens once.
4
That's it
I'm notified automatically, and you can book and track progress for each of them from your account.
It's a tab in your parent portal, alongside My Players and Schedule. Your card is shown at the
bottom — brand and last four digits only.
2
Tap Add A Payment Method
That opens Stripe's own secure page and brings you straight back when you're done. Card
details are held by Stripe, our payment provider — they are never stored on this site, and I never see them.
The same button becomes Change Payment Method once one is on file.
3
What the card is used for
Memberships bill to it automatically, and so do the two session fees below. Booking a session
itself uses a credit, not your card — nothing is charged when you reserve a spot.
5 · Two things worth knowing before you book
Both are in the Membership Agreement you'll sign
1
Canceling
Cancel more than 2 hours before a session and it's free — your credit comes straight
back. Inside 2 hours, booking has already closed, so nobody else can take the spot. You choose in the portal:
keep your credit and pay a $20 late-cancellation fee, or give the credit up and pay nothing.
On an unlimited membership there's no credit to keep or give up, so a late cancellation — or a
no-show — is simply charged the $20. On every other membership a no-show costs the credit and no fee.
2
Unpaid balances
Booking pauses only once $50 or more has been outstanding for more than 7 days, and
resumes the moment it's paid. A single session fee never affects your scheduling.
3
Credits
All credits expire on August 15, whatever plan bought them and whenever they were bought,
and they don't roll over to the next year.
Two documents to sign
A one-time step, and it takes about a minute
The Waiver and Release covers the risk that comes with hitting instruction. The Membership
Agreement covers your credits, cancellations, billing and refunds. Both are shown to you in full inside the
portal — read them there, tick the box, and type your full name to sign.
They have to be signed before you can purchase or use session credits. Signing is per athlete, so if
you have two kids you'll be asked twice. Once it's done you won't be asked again unless a document actually
changes — and if one does, you'll be shown the new wording rather than being treated as having agreed to
something you never saw.

Tee is the assistant built into the portal — and unlike most chatbots you've met, Tee didn't get bolted on
at the end. Tee built this app, and was updated at every step along the way. It knows how the thing
works because it made it.

Why one app
Until now, being part of this program meant juggling a scheduling app, a video app, texts, emails, a stats app,
a sensor app, shared docs and a calendar. Nine places to look for one kid's season.
That's the whole idea. Everything about your athlete — schedule, swing data, video
review, progress, billing, and every word from me — in one place you already have on your Home Screen.
