How to Log a Game Report | The Hitting MD

Open Game Reports

Log in to the portal, tap Submissions on your home screen, then Game Reports. Pick the date and type the opponent.

Add each trip to the plate

Tap + Add an at-bat once for every time you came up. You log them one at a time, and each one saves on its own the moment you press save — so you can add one between innings and come back later for the rest.

You never add anything up yourself. Your line for the game — hits, at-bats, walks, strikeouts — is built from the at-bats you logged, so the numbers can never disagree with the trips behind them.

Answer what you actually remember

Four quick questions per at-bat: how it ended, the last pitch you saw, roughly where it was, and how many pitches you saw. The first-pitch questions at the bottom are optional. Only the first two are required — the rest you fill in when you are sure.

You are asked for the summary of an at-bat, never the pitch-by-pitch sequence. Nobody reconstructs six pitches accurately hours after a game, and a season built on guesses is worse than no season at all.

Fix one later if you got it wrong

Every at-bat has Edit and Delete under it, and they never expire. An edited at-bat is marked edited so a number that moves later is explainable.

Add the RBIs, grade it, and send it

Runs batted in is the one number you still type — nothing about how an at-bat ended says whether anybody was on base. Then give yourself a swing grade, add notes if you want, and tap Submit Report.

Tee’s /report command and the weekly check-in both hand you a standalone version of this form. It works the same way and asks one extra, optional question: the pitcher’s plan against you.

Watch your season build itself

Everything you logged lands on the Season page: your average, your on-base, how many pitches you make a pitcher throw, where the ball was, and how at-bats ended by pitch type.
