Welcome Packet

Welcome to The Hitting MD

Start here · ~3 minutes to get set up
1
Log in for the first time
Go to portal.thehittingmd.com and tap Player Portal in the top menu (parents: Parent Portal). Players sign in with their first and last name; parents sign in with their email address. Use the temporary password the Hitting MD team gave you and tap Sign In.
2
Save the portal to your home screen
In your phone browser, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Now the portal opens in one tap, like an app.
3
Turn on push notifications
Enable notifications when prompted so you never miss a message from the Hitting MD team, a booking update, or a reminder.
4
Choose your own password
You do not have to go hunting for this. If the Hitting MD team gave you a starter password, the very first time you sign in the portal stops you on a Choose Your Password screen and asks for a new one — at least six characters — before it lets you through. Pick one only you know and tap Save Password. After that you can change it any time from your My Profile card: the Change Password button sits just under your name.
5
Look around your portal
This is your home screen — everything is grouped into sections (Reports, Video, Data, Notes) that you can open and close. From here you can book sessions, log game reports that feed your Season Stats, set goals, do weekly check-ins, and message the Hitting MD team directly.

One worth knowing early: Book a Session is where you book, change and cancel training. My Schedule is a different card — that one holds your games, showcases and camps.
6
Two things a parent takes care of first
Before you can book a session, two things have to be true, and both are a parent’s to do from the parent portal:

The waiver and agreement are signed for you, by name. It takes a parent about a minute.
There is a card on file. Nothing is charged to book — the card is there for a late-cancellation fee, and for the day the family would rather have a membership charged than billed. A parent adds it under PaymentsPayment methodAdd A Payment Method.

If either is missing, tapping Book tells you which one, instead of taking the hour.
7
You’re ready
Every feature has a step-by-step guide on the Help page if you get stuck. Now go get to work — log your first game report or book your next session.
